The JAC T8 is the double cab that introduced a more refined, lifestyle-ready pickup to the JAC range. It is powered by a 1.9-litre turbodiesel engine producing 100 kW and 320 Nm of torque, available from 2000 to 2600 rpm, so it pulls strongly whether you are carrying a full load or towing. The bold hexagonal front grille with the JAC badge, xenon headlamps and large alloy wheels give it a confident road presence. The load bin takes up to 900 kg, and the T8 can tow up to 2,000 kg with a braked trailer. Inside, the cabin is built for both work and family use, with dual front airbags and ABS braking. Available in 4×2 and 4×4, it is a capable, comfortable pickup for business and weekends alike.
The upgraded JAC T8 builds on the original with a new 2.0-litre common-rail turbodiesel producing 104 kW and 320 Nm. Torque is available from just 1600 rpm, thanks to an intercooler and an electrically controlled variable-geometry turbo. This gives stronger pulling power at low revs and better fuel economy. Paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, it uses a claimed 7.8 L/100 km in 4×2 form. The 76-litre tank gives a range of almost 1,000 km. The refreshed front end has a redesigned grille centre, and the upgrade adds a rear diff-lock as standard and ISOFIX child-seat mounts. It keeps the 900 kg payload, 2,000 kg braked towing capacity and 220 mm ground clearance of the original. The 4×4 version uses a BorgWarner electronically controlled four-wheel-drive system with low-range selection. It is a more efficient, better-equipped T8 for business, family and off-road use.
